1. What EasyPlotPlan is

EasyPlotPlan is a browser-based drawing tool for creating plot plans and site plans: you search an address, trace over aerial imagery and public parcel records, add structures, dimensions, and symbols, and produce a scaled drawing. By using the site you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

2. The most important part: your plan is a drawing, not a survey

EASYPLOTPLAN OUTPUT IS A USER-CREATED ILLUSTRATION. IT IS NOT A LEGAL SURVEY, NOT A LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY, AND NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE WORK OF A LICENSED SURVEYOR, CIVIL ENGINEER, OR ARCHITECT.

Parcel boundaries, address locations, and building footprints shown in the editor come from public sources — county and state GIS services, OpenStreetMap, and aerial imagery providers — that can be outdated, generalized, or simply wrong, and that we do not control. Aerial imagery can be misaligned by several feet. You are responsible for verifying every line against your deed, recorded survey, and local requirements before relying on it. Whether a drawing satisfies your permitting authority is between you and that authority. We are not liable for permit denials, boundary disputes, construction or excavation decisions, or any other consequence of relying on a drawing made with this tool.

3. Accounts and guest use

You can draw without an account; guest work is stored only in your own browser and we cannot recover it if your browser clears it. A free account (email and password) lets you save plans to our servers. Keep your credentials secure — activity under your account is your responsibility. You must be at least 13 years old, and at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to make a purchase. One person per account; don't share logins.

4. Pricing and the export unlock

Drawing and saving plans is free. Printing to scale and exporting a plan requires a one-time unlock purchased for that specific plan (the price is shown at checkout). An unlock is permanent for that plan, including after you edit it, but it applies to the plan it was purchased for: duplicating a plan creates a new, un-unlocked plan. Payments are processed by PayPal under PayPal's own terms; we never see your card number. If a payment goes wrong or an unlock doesn't register, email support@easyplotplan.com with your PayPal receipt and we'll make it right. Refunds are handled case-by-case through the same address — if you bought an unlock by mistake and haven't printed or exported, we'll refund it.

5. Your content and our license to host it

You own the plans you create and the images you upload. You grant us the limited license needed to run the service: storing your content, processing it (for example generating thumbnails and print layouts), and displaying it to you and to anyone you give a share link to. Share links are view-only but work for anyone who has the URL — treat them accordingly. Only upload images you have the right to use (your own survey or plat, or one you're licensed to trace).

6. Acceptable use

Don't use the service to break the law, infringe others' rights, or harass anyone. Don't probe, overload, scrape, or resell our servers or the third-party lookups we proxy (geocoding and parcel services are rate-limited and provided for interactive use in the editor). Don't attempt to bypass the export unlock, upload malware, or interfere with other users. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, and we may remove content that we reasonably believe is unlawful.

7. Service changes and availability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We work to keep it up, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change. Third-party data sources (imagery, geocoding, county GIS) can change or disappear outside our control. We recommend exporting plans you care about. If we ever discontinue the service, we will make reasonable efforts to give account holders notice and a window to export their plans.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE SAME EXTENT, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE PLAN GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of the above may not apply to you.

9. Governing law and changes to these Terms

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. We may update these Terms; if we make material changes we'll post the new version here with a new effective date, and for account holders we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
